Glowing in the shadows is a wall hanging with a sculptural walnut frame around a “glowing” brass beetle. The beetle was created from three layers of brass that were sawed, filed and formed to replicate a stag beetle, and is connected by rivets. The frame was made from walnut, with hand filed and gouged edges. The beetle floats in the frame, similar to how a pinned insect would be displayed.
